oh ****, i really want her go back with Jack for something cool, make him happen again if nothing! i loved matinee when it came out, before Adele happened.
and her backing vocals on my yvonne are the sound of ****ing angels!!
I'm losing all hope in this era. First of all, why isn't WWWY on Spotify? It should be on there NOW! I hope they're not going to wait till they put the whole album on there...
Then there's the video issue. She's still got enough time to make an amazing video and it help with her chart position, but we all know deep down that the live performance is the official video (it was played on a music channel in the UK today).
Then there's the confusion with AIA being a single in the UK and WWWY everywhere else. No one even knows what the concrete truth is. I guess we will know the single choice when she performs at the Brits.
I've got a feeling she's going to perform Hello at both the Brits and The Grammys...
I mean, the success of the album has already been astronomical. But I would love an era that's well planned from beginning to end. It's become really messy during this past month.
Honestly, I think we will get another music video from her this era; maybe more, but I would imagine she will at least film one for "When We Were Young" being that it's the next single. Even last time around with her vocal problems, she filmed a video for "Someone Like You" at least (it didn't live up to its potential, but she did still film it, which is better than nothing).
As for the tour, I don't even know what to expect. I'm really excited! It's going to be incredible. And she seems more enthusiastic about going on tour this time around. Nothing's holding her back. I just hope Simon visits her enough where she doesn't miss him and then turn around and cancel tour dates for him like she did during 19. I know how much she regrets that, but I also know how much she loves her family, and being away from him for so long is going to kill her; I know it. It would be cool if her fans could organize for him to come surprise her during one of the dates. I would love that.

I don't think we have too much to worry about. First of all, we all know how she tends to change her mind. ("I know I have a fickle heart, and a bitterness, and...." ) Anyways... Even though she said what she did about streaming on Today, she could still change her mind, but I'm pretty sure it'll be up there at some point. When she releases the music video for "When We Were Young," she'll probably put it up, because watching it on YouTube will count as streaming, too, right?
As for the whole thing with "All I Ask," that has pretty much stayed on the down-low, so I don't think that's a big deal. I'm convinced that Music Week just made an incorrect assumption because there is NOWHERE else on the web that even mentions "All I Ask" as a single.
And I don't know... I feel like she's kind of... Not really sick of "Hello," but she doesn't want to keep performing it. Now that the album's been out for a while and "Hello" is starting to die down, she doesn't have a need to perform it. I think she'd much rather perform something like "When We Were Young," to be completely honest. She's even said that performing "Hello" scares her because of how high the chorus goes. For two major award shows coming up, I don't think she'd do something like that if her nerves are still that bad, especially if she doesn't need to promote it anymore. She can perform anything now, really. (Although if she doesn't perform "When We Were Young" and lets it flop, she is going to feel my wrath.)

I love her bvs on My Yvonne so much
Btw do you all think that she'll have an opening act?
To be honest, I don't really know. Do artists typically announce the opening acts when they announce the tour? There's only one concert that I've been to where there wasn't an opening act, and that was Idina Menzel. Most big pop artists have opening acts, I thought. I'm really hoping she gets Tobias to open for her, but I'm not holding my breath!

They usually announce it when the tour is really close. I mean, Ellie Goulding's concert in Prague is this weekend I think and the opening act was announced just last week... So she still has time, definitely.

Oh, okay! Well, that's good. I would like to see her have an opener. Adele has a pretty good taste in music, so I'm sure it would be a good artist. She could definitely get a headliner to open for her at this point, and Tobias did have a mini tour last year or whatever, so it could be him. I hope he opens for her. Do you guys have anyone you want to open for her?
I'd chop my right arm off if James Morrison could open for her AGAIN, but that ain't happening So I don't really care. Tobias would be great though. Or someone really unknown for me, I'd love to discover someone new!
i hope she takes some more or less unknown opening for her, like for pushing them.
i think jack penate for a couple of shows, maybe that new XL girl, Låpsley. Mabel in stockholm. Grimes in canada. Chvrches in Glasgow etc etc..
and tobias jesso ofc

i kinda understand what you mean, but for one she has by far the biggest tour ever ahead of her, which i hope she'll pull through with!
second, she just doesn't seem to work this business like the other popstars. she obviously let the singles live long and also kinda have their own life. the SLY vid obv weren't planned first. and she didn't do anything for SFTTR either. she doesn't seem interested in that stuff too much, but a massive tour like this is much more rewarding to us than another video for a single IF we were to choose.
but, i do not think she'll do Hello on brits or grammys. there's no point really.
besides the fact that WWWY "kinda" is the new single, it's her personal fave so she should do it i think.
but i'm perched on needles for feb. 15th!
this guy Clayton75 on ukmix, who seems to be someone in the know, just posted this in the Adele - 25 thread

WWWY was just officially serviced to US radio on January 22nd. The label has a plan and it's just getting started, and it has music's biggest night as a launching pad. I suspect streaming audio availability and/or a proper video will coincide with Grammy week, or in close proximity on either end.
All this very healthy "premature" airplay has it sitting VERY pretty come February 15th. Whether it becomes a huge hit with longevity, who knows... but it will have a big moment, at the very least. I reckon it could be big with the graduating students this spring... Timing is everything, and this label knows what it is doing.
i have no idea if he knows anything more than us, but as he says, as this era started and has worked so far, it's amazingly well done. maybe we're just too itchy and used to the other girls/gays releasing stuff all the time?
I agree 100% with that guy. I am fighting for "When We Were Young" to be my class song. My idiot classmates want our graduation song to be Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire" just because we had a project with that song last year. I love Billy Joel, but that song is an AWFUL graduation song and I hope that my school doesn't approve it. "When We Were Young" would fit SO well, but my class is full of idiots, so they don't really deserve a song that good.
Anyways... He has another good point regarding the video. If the video and the Grammys performance hit within the same week, "When We Were Young" will probably take off even more than it already has. It may even shoot it into the top 10 (or better). That would be the ideal situation. I want it to be number-one, just so that she can be remembered for this song like she is some of her other songs.
And in regards to the opener, I'd be open to anyone. I'm hoping for Tobias, but anyone similar to her style of music would be great. She may go for some of her XL labelmates; it would be great promo for them. I'm always up for discovering new artists. I remember seeing Maroon 5, and MAGIC! opened up for them. I hated "Rude" before just because it got so old so fast, but they were honestly fantastic. Now I really like "Rude," and some of their other stuff is pretty good, too. But it totally depends. P!nk, on the other hand, had a really sh*tty opener. Adele has a good taste in music, though, so if she has a say in who opens for her, it'll probably be someone good.
