well, in my case I'm considered Latino/Hispanic because I was born in South America, however I'm 100% European (Italian/Irish/Spanish), so basically white.

Well Hispanic has more to with the language and Latino with the region in general terms. Even though you were both in SA, you can call yourself a white Hispanic.

Mess what is confusing? Latino means you or your parents come from a Spanish or Portuguese speaking country in Latin America

Latinos can be white, black, native people of the Americas, any mix between those, even Asian or Middle Eastern sometimes.

Yeah I know but most Latinos could generally be grouped into either white or black. If they look white, they're White Hispanic (not European but still white). If they look black, they're Black Hispanic (not African-American but still black). That's why I said white and black are the biggest two groups.

It's really confusing though. I was surprised when I found that out
