Not so fast! While it's highly unlikely Maria could in fact beat Serena. Serena off the ground has been impeccable but the one thing Serena had last year that won her the AO was the serve. OTG both were pretty muc even, maybe a tad in Sharapova's favor because she was slightly more consistent.

Serena is not serving anywhere near that great, even in her last match she was just spinning serves in mostly. Not saying it will happen but if Maria brings that form of the AO'15 and Serena is slightly off, things could get interesting . I mean of course I'd want Serena to win though nnn

I hope Barbora is ready to slay her

So many players who are inferior to Maria have managed to beat Serena...it's bound to happen for Maria as well. Plus Maria has actually looked decent, her serve is better than it's been in a while.

I agree that Belinda vs. Serena is tougher, though. But Sharapova is generally pretty good at dispatching players who are ranked below her.
