Well, they did close the single thread. I don't know... I emailed MusicWeek and tweeted them, and I will email XL and Columbia, although I don't expect them to reply. (Thanks for their contact info, Cockney!)
AIA has more potential in the UK than WWWY so I see why they'd make it the second single there, but still. This is going to be messy.
I get why they did it, but at the same time, I feel like they really didn't give it a chance either. They abandoned it before she even started promoting it. And it doesn't make sense for them to release "All I Ask" exclusively to the UK and then do "When We Were Young" everywhere else. I'm still praying to God this is just a mix-up.

I agree! Like, honestly, it would not kill her to do one video. But I honestly would be fine if we only got one more video from the era if it was "When We Were Young." That song has so much video potential! She cannot waste this opportunity! I will never forgive her.... But I would also love videos for "Water Under the Bridge" and "Send My Love."

I will have my meltdown if Adele snubs WWWY at all but until then not no! She is very vocal that WWWY is her fave of the record..this makes me keep hopeful! that promo game is coming!
I'm hoping the remix will help; it's one of her better remixes, and I think it may help it gain airplay on pop radio, but most pop stations are going to be forced to play the original in the end because people get irritated that radio stations remix Adele. I remember when "Someone Like You" was on radio and one of my local radio stations got a bunch of sh*t from listeners for trying to remix it.
But you know, Columbia wouldn't have to be concerned about the original flopping if they'd do something to promote it. Part of it is due to the fact that it started getting radio airplay earlier than it was supposed to, which isn't their fault, but if they knew it was picking up fast, Adele should've filmed a damn video to release prior to the Grammys and BRIT Awards.
Someone on UKMix said that Music Week has made mistakes before and that they're pretty sure this is another one of them. Still waiting for a response from someone from her team on this.
