It's crazy that it keeps happening this far into the game.

My thoughts on the situation are that, from here on out, scarlet spoons go out to anyone who does a false spoon. Even it's an accident. It will make people more cautious, so they don't go posting "Spoon" when they see the word "Done." And they will double check their posts to make sure "Spoon" isn't in their reply box anywhere.

A scarlet spoon at this stage could be the death of someone, so I think it would work to stop the false spooning.

I am - although I spectated pretty much all of Season 5 since I missed the sign-ups by a few days.

This is a good idea to control the false spooning, but from my experience in tournaments, games are no longer the same when Moderators intervene. They'll start paying attention to this thread, warn about other stuff other than false spooning, and as a result the game won't be as fun as it is.

I think you should have authority in your own game. Give a harsh penalty to the false spooner and let the Dementors out of it.

This is a good point. We say a LOT of warnable things in here, we really don't need mods scrutinizing what we post

I think a Scarlet Spoon to whoever starts the false spooning is the way to go - I disagree that it's too excessive because at this point, there shouldn't by ANY reason why people are posting the first spoon when they shouldn't be.

If people stick to the rules, there's nothing that moderators could potentially ruin. Fun =/= WP worthy content. Games should not be a zone that's un-warnable.

CONTRACT

Moving forward, for at least the next week and a half, you must wait until my post in order to grab a spoon and secure your safety in the game. If you are the first person to post a spoon before my post, potentially starting a chain reaction of false alarms, you will be punished. I will now give a scarlet spoon to someone for this offense, effective during the subsequent round. For a second offense of this sort, you will be immediately disqualified from the competition. I will reserve the right to continue with a normal elimination at that point, or deem the round a non-elimination round.

All contestants remaining in the game must sign their usernames below, acknowledging that they have read this contract, and that if they are the first person to post an invalid spoon, they accept the above consequences. Thank you.
