He didn't, but he did say the clues for AHS6 are in past seasons, mainly Season 1. But there are clues throughout Hotel, Michael Goi confirmed that.

Have you found anything that stood out in S1? that maybe connects to hints in Hotel? If I have a chance, I'll rewatch MH again

In Hotel, they hinted at:
1. Camp (this probably won't be it)
2. Sailing/boat
3. Cults
4. Egypt

I mean the only things in Murder House that stood out for me were the whole Roanoake scenes with the native Americans, and the antichrist theme with the pope.

But we didn't see much or any of that in Hotel. The Home Invasion cult in episode 2 definitely could match up with the cult references in Hotel.

Oh wow, let me re-watch season 1. Although Ryan's clues are so vague.


Honestly, the cult thing shouldn't be ruled out because it's set in the present. One of the biggest known cult nowadays - Illuminati / freemasons - are one of the oldest in the books yet are a modern cult conspiracy theory for people right now in power, people who are successful, controlling the world, etc... for their own agenda. Subliminal messages, mind control, rituals, etc... all come under that cult conspiracy. And you still have religion as a huge cult, scientology, "selling your soul" for fame, whatever. Would make for an interesting season possibility.

American Horror Story: Hotel ends as it began—as a stylish mess

Even in its finale, American Horror Story: Hotel can’t decide what it’s about. The tonal whiplash of “Be Our Guest” feels less like the witty swerving from sweet to grim that often characterizes AHS and more like a slapdash effort to pack everything in.

But lurching from Liz Taylor’s long, emotionally rich story to the grimy, grim Devil’s Night debauchery feels both disjointed and a little cheap. That cheapness is reinforced by the way the bottom drops out of their threat. With their spirits confined, March’s cronies can’t make good on their promise, and Ramona is brought in to back them up. Even in the finale, even as she comes to the rescue once again, she’s written as an afterthought.

American Horror Story has a reputation as both a funhouse of surprises and a showcase for its outstanding stable of actresses, but AHS: Hotel’s biggest surprise is how it’s squandered its leading ladies.

Despite her Golden Globe, Lady Gaga’s not only not delivering the best performance in her category; she’s not even the best performance on her own show. That sounds like a slight, but it’s not, not really: Despite her experience in elaborate character-driven video and stage productions, she’s a novice actor playing a character who’s largely surface, and playing her with understandably superficial style illuminated by occasional flickers of depth.

Like a good hotel, good storytelling needs order and structure, and American Horror Story: Hotel never quite manages those.

Just because it's in the present doesn't mean it's going to be hyper modern like Hotel, it could easily take place somewhere rural or in the middle of nowhere. It'll be interesting to see how different they can make it considering they love doing polar opposites of the season that came before.

The final episode was good as a single piece, but it doesn't fit with the tone of season. The season started with a very promising dark tone (on par with Asylum in some moments) but during last three episodes (specially the last one) I felt like I was watching Scream Queens, and not AHS.

I think the books Liz Taylor were reading were clues tbh. I remember one of them was Moby Dick, directly related to Voyage/Island theory

What the final episode's/this season's main problem was that it didn't have many scary scenes. I mean Ryan needs to realize that he is making a horror series, not a dramedy or a campy comedy. As much as I liked the last two seasons I understand why many fans are frustrated with them, they were written as dramas and did not have much horror attached to them. Also, we need way less main characters. I don't think he will realize these but I'm kinda hoping at least some other exec prod. does

What happened with the vampire kid army? Did they all just die? Why did it not cause a global outrage?

Why did the countess just allow Alex to walk out with ha baby?

The vampire kid army was literally one of the focal plot points in one of the last few episodes and all their dead bodies were seen in the finale, so...

Sis, they are all dead Ramona fed from them. All of this was resolved in Battle Royale .... honestly people are making the most of it ...... Tell me when AHS finale was superior to the episode before the finale. All the episodes before the season finale are the action packed ones. Lana escaping Briacliff was probably one of the most intense tv/movie scenes EVER. Vivian's birth and Violet's death reveal were miles more tense than the Afterbirth episode. Hell even Coven had more action packed semi finale than the finale which was fcking disaster with that witch singing the opening act like wtf.

Battle Royale was the episode that ended the Countess' story arc whom was the focus of the season and Be Our Guest was the aftermath of Countess' death and how all the residents dealt after she was no longer factor. It closed all of the other characters arcs.

It wasnt great episode,I'm not denying that but it was a decent epiloge which all of AHS finales are an epilogue to the season. They are not that much action packed, they just show us what happened to the characters that we grew to love or hate during the season's run and this is understandable since this is antology series and not one story being spread through few seasons.

So stop whinning, we got it u hated the finale. It's like that every season. But I don't mind having mediocre finale to one great season which Hotel was. So now we can all focus on the next season and be a little bit more positive after all this is just one enetertaining show and not that big of a deal.
