It's a great honor to have if that's what you want to strive for. I'm sure that there are plenty of actors who would like an Oscar, but cannot get nominated or win for whatever reason, and don't lose sleep over it. And I won't either, thank you

Apart from Elba, I don't think there were more notable performances by black actors! And his nomination was never a sure thing! I mean, I prefer Tom Hardy over him!

It's more of a problem of the industry, rather than Oscars being racist! People are so sensitive nowadays and focus on the surface and NOT the real problem!

Thankfully, their ratings have only continued to drop year after year. Assuming the trend continues, it will be dead or irrelevant soon enough, just like most of the members of its sacred, holy "Academy".

People have the right to complain about something the Oscars is notorious for. And they are also pulling the "reward straight people for playing LGBT" tenfold this year. Unfortunately, these awards are more about politics (see J.Law's nom), but it would be nice if they would actually recognize excellence in film. I agree with an earlier comment that the film industry also needs to change for this to really be achieved.

I think the most glaring omission is MBJ for Creed. Like Stallone is nominated...
