WHAT THE ACTUAL **** WAS THAT? This is the worst thing i have ever seen. This might be even worse than the Scream Queens finale. HORRIBLE.A JOKE. This finale literally had NOTHING to do with any previous episode.
UGH im fuming so hard. Ryan did not put me through that. He is a HORRIBLE writer. He doesn't know how to write a proper story from start to finish. He doesn't have a vision.
I literally laughed out loud in most scenes. Not because of humor, because i couldn't believe what i was watching. This is NOT American Horror Story. Anyone who still defends this season after that finale needs Jesus.

Next season will be an abandoned island where planes and ships have crashed and they have no idea how to leave but there's cannibals or something in the forest that's scary. In the end they get rescued or something and the best characters get ruined.

The season was a mess, but an entertaining, campy mess. I wonder what would happen if they did a 180 and completely dialed down on the gore, sexuality and camp and made the next season more creepy and atmospheric. I think the pacing would improve as well.

If Hotel had Jessica or Frances in it I probably would have put it ahead of Coven.

If Hotel is your first, you should 100% watch Asylum. It's the best of the entire series. Followed by Hotel and Murder House. Asylum's Finale is otherworldly.

-Alexandra Daddario portraying Coven witch Mimi Delongpre
-Emma Roberts returning for the final episodes, playing a role as March's wife or Scarlett in her adult years
-An appearance by Nora Montgomery
-Bartholomew being actually the Infantata from Season 1
-Liz and Iris becoming a couple (Liz finds true love)
-Sally being an actual man
-John killing himself in order to make himself the last commandment victim
-Ms. Evers being the mother of Sister Jude
-Liz making it alive in the end
-The Coven witches ending the Cortez
-The Hotel Cortez is just an illusion
GaGa's acting in the last ep is incredible !! She clearly had the best chemistry with Wes ! Thats also why she remembered to thank Wes first at the Golden Globes !
I just noticed that during that scenes where she slitted Liz's throat, her mouth was not consistent throughout the angles tho It was wide open at the angle where we see her back but then when it witches to her face her mouth is close.
That was actually a really satisfying finale - AHS finales tend to be more like an epilogue / gives a satisfying ending. It's the 3rd and second to last episodes where it reaches its climax.
Overall I'd rate the seasons: Coven > Hotel = Murder House =/> Asylum >> Freak Show.
This was a quite nice epilogue, it wrapped up the vast majority of things and filed some gaps that needed to be filled a long time ago. Plus it was entertaining af. You can TOTALLY see tho that they didn't have a CLUE how would season end when they started shooting it. For the s6, I just want them to make at least a rough main story line of the whole season right at the beginning, because even tho Hotel turned out quite okay, it could've been a LOT worse.
I give this season 5/10
although I find it good and it has some good moments but the story is weak and so many plot holes.

I'm thinking Ryan should just drop the 'horror' from the title. American Campfire Stories would suffice. It could be an Are You Afraid of the Dark? kind of show where tales are told by a group of campy people and each episode is different. He clearly can't handle a season arc, so.

Exactly this. It really bugs me though. How can the person that gave as Asylum create Hotel? This is one of the worst seasons of a TV show ever. Literally NO horror element whatsoever.
And you know what? I might sound ignorant and an asshole, and i said this in the other thread as well. But this show has become way too gay and it's ruining it.
I hope it becomes a thing now that Wes plays a central role during Halloween episodes. First Edward Mordrake who appears once you perform on Halloween and now John Lowe who is damned to appear on October 31st in the band of serial killers.
