I love Wolverine and think Hugh Jackman did an amazing job with him. I just wish it wasn't always centered around him.

Are they really attempting the phoenix saga?? Please don't without queen famke, she will forever be Jean Grey to me cuz she was amazing in that role. If they do it needs to be an overarching story through like 3 movies. It doesn't have to center around her for that amount of time but start planting in the seeds and her symptoms of what she will become early on. And why not bring back Famke? I could care less if she's "too old" to play her cuz she looks younger then she is and they can go forwards in time and show her like isolated from everyone else cuz of what she's become to justify why she's older now, its not like the films are known to follow the comics or animated series exactly.

And X3 was NOT that bad to the point I had to turn it off. It had its moments, it was just nice seeing alot of the Xmen Universe characters even though they did a HORRIBLE job casting them and literally introducing them for like 3 seconds as some low tier d class mutants when they have a much bigger part in the storylines.

I hope it flops but seeing as the first one made over a billion it will be good competition. Everyone hates Anne Hathaway now and Johnny is getting stale with his kooky costumes. I really hope it bombs. JLaw as annoying as she is, might have a bigger pull in favor of XMen.

It'll certainly be competition, but right now X-Men should be fine to take the WW total for the weekend, but it may be a closer call for the US opening weekend.

X-Men needs the word of mouth like DOFP had - it got acclaim from the get-go. Add that to (biggest actress on the planet right now) Jennifer Lawrence-fronted promo with (biggest movie ever Star Wars star) Oscar Isaac + (likely Oscar nominated for Steve Jobs) Michael Fassbender + return of original X-Men characters Scott/Jean/Storm/Nightcrawler/Angel, as well as hopefully coming off the early success of Deadpool and things could go really great. It's missing the old cast/new cast dynamic of DOFP so we'll see just how much that might dent this movie.

Alice got lukewarm reviews - despite making a ton of cash, its viewed as this overly CGI mess-work that even an amazing cast like Depp, Bonham-Carter and Hathaway can't overcome. If this one gets mixed reviews I can see it making far less. It made more through its legs than X-Men, so it needs to keep decent world of mouth.

I presumed he'd had a wig for Gambit but you never know. When is principal photography starting on that? It has a prelim release date of Oct. 7th still, which has to be bogus if nothing is filmed yet.

Also, ngl - JLaw's popularity is waning this year. Fox are so lucky they had her in her pre-commercial juggernaut phase for cheap contract negotiations for FC + sequels, then could use her for DOFP at her max star power and now use her again at still massive star power for Apocalypse.
