I disagree, unless the production is really cheap and lazy.

Production is such an underrated element in songs in general - I feel like producers aren't recognized or credited enough because they are literally the backbone of a song. Production is the most important (and usually) the most sophisticated part of a song.

you do realize that characteristic 'squeaking' (can't find a better word ) tone of voice you can hear in most Britney songs is not her actual tone? she was 'forced' to record BOMT that way and after the song became successful and recognizable she had to stick with it. as far as it's not a problem in a studio it really is a struggle to perform live imitating a different voice and sing it well. the parts you emphasized is where she didn't manage to keep that squeaking voice. naturally she has a very deep singing voice.

and yes I do realize that even without that she isn't an amazing vocalist. just wanted to let a gurl know
