Y'all. Mariah came to me in my dreams last night. It was beautiful.
So I've been having very intense dreams all week, it's been strange, but I've been waking up very peacefully. I think it's because I've just had a lot of my mind lately, and my dreams have been helping me figure everything out.
Anyways, I feel like I've been trapped in my mind a lot recently, overthinking things and getting caught up in my thoughts. It's been taxing on my mental health, obviously. But in my dream, Mariah was guiding me through all the obstacles in my brain, and helping me find the light at the end of the tunnel. She guided me through space and time, and eventually through the depths of the sea until I reached the surface. And then I woke up, and I felt so relieved, so at peace. It's was truly an incredible experience.
I don't know if that's something to brag about either, cf. All I've Ever Wanted, Just To Hold You Once Again, Never Forget You, etc. I'd hope she'd be able to make a song better than these Celine Dion-rejects.
Let's stop talking about the "My All"-clone (or failed attempt at being so), and start discussing the vividly emblazoned flawless original.
Also, there was an interview from 1999 or whatever where she shades the song so I guess the medication she was on during the recording of (Why) Did I Do That? and X-Girlfriend had started to lose its effect by said interview.
All of these actually being better than After Tonight.

My All is a demo that she never finished, Walter admited that in an interview because of the fight with her husband and she broke her friendship with Watler, so he never finished My All and whenever You Call.

How would Mariah feel if Rihanna gave her singing tips, or Ariana gave her songwriting tips? It is sad yet predictable (and quite amusing) certain people think they can educate me about the Butterfly era but we love everybody!
Actually, it's probably even more sad how ruthlessly My All obliterates its clone despite only being a demo.
Walter can stay mad though. My All and Whenever You Call sound more authentic than any of the other songs he's ever produced so it's for the best Mariah ran away with the tracks before he got the change to schmaltz them up.
