Out of any former AKB member, Tomomi is definitely the queen of solos and she knows it. Hence this song. We all know she doesn't have the strongest voice in the whole world but her sassy and playful attitude and this banger of an instrumental make up for it. Maeda Atsuko who?
Easily one of my favourite bands like ever, The Bird and The Bee are extremely underrated. Their whole album was full of gems (hihi) but this one is the best stand out. I just love Inara's delivery of the lyrics in the somewhat monotonous way, but this definitely makes the lyrics stand out more. The instrmental also has a more sinister feel in comparison to some of their other work.
I did say I was gonna come back to Lim Kim! I just fell in love with this song when I first heard, the lyrics are amazing and I just love the instrumental and how it dramatically changes in the bridge. Also the **** you lyrics at the end is fun.
Little Boots last album unfortunately didn't do much for me bar Motorway, so I was pleasantly surprised when she released this album and this is the highlight. I love the dark techno/house vibe and the pseudo-feminist message.
I keep seeing Little Boots around this year but she never really held any ground after her 2009 era did she? Your description sounds cute tho, let me listen.
I didn't like LB's album at all. I still have her debut and play it occasionally though.
I don't recall mentioning Lil Kim sis.
Her debut is her best album tbh.

Please Take Me Home is great, shame on me I haven't heard it/known them before.
Working Girl is cute, too.
You'll get your chance to know them soon enough.

She kinda just dropped off the radar after New In Town I think, she does give out a good song now & then though.
Honestly, if you would have asked me six months ago this would be my number one album without fail and now it's not and that's simply because better has been released. _genic does feel a biT all over the place with what it wants to be, featuring FEEL leftovers such as Stranger & Scream and fun little retro throwbacks such as Photogenic and Birthday.
In case of B Who I Want 2 B: Honestly I have no idea why this song is so hated when to me it's easily the second best on here. I love some of PC Music's work as it is and this song is so off-the-wall and so unexpected and experimental for Namie and it's complete genius and works well as a self-empowering anthem. The inclusion of Hatsune Miku is definitely not a bad thing as it works, given that PC Music is heavily inspired by Idol and Vocaloid culture as it is, why not get the Vocaloid cult icon on it? The video is brilliant too. It's aesthetically pleasing and is more than likely ha fave too, considering she didn't have to do anything for it.
I didn't really care for her EP when it was first released, I thought it was cute but nothing more. I decided to check her album out and wow I was surprised by how good the reused songs are! Stay Low, OctaHate and Sail On are all brilliant and I'm surprised they never clicked with me before. Traveling Song, a cute little ode to her grandfather, is also another highlight of mine.
