Secondly, after seeing LY take off w/o proper pushing, people were just expecting it to suddenly skyrocket before the release/video (though the single announcement gave 'em even more excuses). Love Youself situation is literally unique.., even DH wasn't that high back then.

I'm pretty confident it'll hit #1 around the Grammy's.

Was SLY not single 2 material as well? I don't really think the order of her singles matter that much besides the fact that some singles are more summery than others I guess. SML would be perfect for Summer so I hope they keep it until then

I'm sorry, that's rubbish. If Adele had released WWWY prior to her releasing the album and selling 7.5 million copies, it would have shot straight to number 1. It's absolutely first/second single material, it's got instant classic written all over it. From the chords, to the vocals, to the melody, and its' sense of nostalgia. The song is phenomenal.

I think the problem is that hello isn't completely peaked.

Hopefully it'll take off mid Jan and then with a grammy performance (i'm sure will be the video) it'll do what it needs to.

While i was concerned a couple weeks back I really don't want WWWY to be a single at any other time but the winter.

I need Water under the bridge to the be midtempo spring single and send my love to be the summer single

so that Hello/WWW/Water under the bridge and send my love can have its own time to shine at the grammy's in 2017

then for the fall single A million years ago/Sweetest devotion/I miss you
