She still has done many great things for women. If she can basically keep that as her image and not something her husband did in his sex life then she should come out unscathed.

But Hillary knew Bill was a serial cheater/philanderer and stayed with him because of her political ambition. I would of respected her more if she had divorced Bill, and then still tried to run for Senate/President. All Hillary has ever done is run off Bill's economic record. Everything Hillary has attempted on her own "politically" has "at best" had mixed results.

It's a reach to say she stayed with him for political reasons. You don't know anything about their relationship.

You are sadly mistaken if you think this will affect her in any way. Her supporters are still going to support her. The people who don't still won't. And for everyone else still up in the air, they are already aware of what happened in the 90s, and that is irrelevant. Trump might think we care about that, but people are generally concerned about the economy and ISIS, and this Bill mess will be over by next week when Trump says the next thing that will cause controversy.

It's a reach to say it isn't, too. You don't know anything about Bill and Hillary's relationship either.

I highly doubt that everyone is aware of all the things Bill has done and was accused of during the 90's considering 1/5th of Americans today were not born yet. How many people know that Hillary defended a rapist? She said he took a polygraph and passed it and then she lost off confidence in the polygraph forever, meaning she thought he was guilty. It was her job to defend him but then she laughed about winning the case. Such a strong supporter of women.

If you don't know about that by now then there's something not right. Unless you are under 15 everyone knows about it . And a rapist? Highly questionable but I'll let it slide, however defending her husband doesn't make her any less strong of a supporter of women. She has advanced women all throughout her career and that all suddenly didn't turn to **** once her husband did something.

To be fair though, some of us were like 5 in 1998 and the whole Lewinsky thing wasn't a priority at that age
(and i'm sure most voters in my age bracket- i'm 22, don't know too many details). I don't even know the full extent of what Bill did and i follow politics.

She didn't just defend her husband, she helped railroad and ruin the reputations of numerous women who accused him of sexual assault.

There is an audio interview of her talking about the case. You can search for it. I'm not going to make something up like that...

My point exactly. Even people that were somewhat following politics don't know what Bill did when he was only the Governor or Arkansas, let alone the POTUS. Hillary intimidated and tried to destroy anyone of the women that tried to come out against Bill. People can say, sure she is just defending her husband, but it's more like she was enabling him over the years.

Let me search for this audio. Though at the end of the day this isn't even a disqualifier for the presidency so like

I never said it was. I am just pointing out that there are a lot of things people don't know about her.
TheDailyBeast: Exclusive Hillary Clinton Took Me Through Hell Rape Victim Says
Link to the audio is inside article; if you didn't find it yet.

Nobody cares about Monica or Bill's other 90's activities and none of it will be relevant to the general election. Like, let's not pretend any of us actually know the full stories either. Literally all of us know only what the media and accusers and the Clintons want us to know - whichever source we take our info from, it's still incomplete.

From what it seems, it looks like Clinton was just doing her job. As an appointed lawyer she's supposed to help her client in the fullest way possible. It's obvious she knows that he is guilty, the polygraph comment took confirmed it, but she has to be his lawyer and has to defend him no matter what. And right after the case she apparently set up a rape hotline in that state, the first ever.
She's alright . All of this seems distracting from her real credentials, if the repbublicans want to beat her then I guess they must try anything because based on straight merit, none of them come close to her. This is assuming she beats Bernie of course

I said she was doing her job, it's not the defense that points to her character, it's the interview where she is laughing about it and telling how she essentially destroyed this 12 year old girl. Then many years later the rape victim has to hear her laughing about it...
It's not the 90's anymore, people are a lot more judging today so you never know what people are going to think when they learn about these things.

Why wouldn't it be relevant? I'm sure women's rights will be one of her main platforms. At least it would have been until now.
However, it's looking like Trump may not be the nominee based on his poor ground game, so she may get a pass in the general.

ffffffff "would have been until now" implying that this somehow invalidates her stances two decades later

Who do y'all think are the best bets for the VP nominee for either party?
