I am glad she embraces her status as a living legend more and more and I hope she's going to consolidate it with her upcoming projects. For the next album I would love a new carefree and sexy midtempo like Honey and #Beautiful, an angry ballad, a Diana Ross cover, and a duett with Bruce Springsteen because I think their voices would sound so together.

Yeah. Adorn peaked at #17 on the Hot 100, but it's 2x platinum and went #1 on the R&B charts and spent 20 weeks at #1 on R&B radio So I'd say it's technically his biggest hit.

I won't deny he was damn popular leading up to #B but I'm still not convinced he carried the song. Either way, it was a great collaboration.

Maybe she should consider Bryson Tiller. I'm so in love with his song now despite hearing it months ago.

My friend said to me that he almost loved beautiful until she says "oh how you thrill me" in high falsetto and I agree she should have kept it simple and maybe added it in live performances.

Mariah is still #39 on the overall itunes artists chart today. All is still listed in 2 dozen countries' top 100.

The album is still charting in a couple of major countries' itunes charts top 200.

The peak this year was really huge, so that the entire era lasts a bit longer than usual. <3 #queen.

I forgot to tell you that someone on youtube says that if the performance was in 5.1 sound he can make a mic feed from it (or has a higher chance of isolating the vocals)

maybe in the US Miguel led the song, but internationally, Mariah did: UK, NZ, OZ and Denmark have probably no idea who Miguel was up to that point.

The song sold 350,000 in those 4 countries combined. <3

#B slayed because it was really really good and sounded nothing like what was on the radio. It should have been nominated for a grammy tbh. It was one of the best songs (written, produced and sung) of 2013.

I swear had Beyoncé sung the exact name verses as Mariah, the song would have gotten 2 grammys or so: best R&B song and best collaboration with vocals.

Yes, what happens is that there are 5 channels,
Front
Front Left
Front Right
Back Left
Back Right

Usually the vocals are solely placed in the front channel, so if you extract that, then you're left with the mic feed. The problem is that it's unfortunately not always set up that way, sometimes the music is too mixed into the front channel.

I've tried doing it for her NYE medley but unfortunately that was the case
I was looking to do it at her GMA performance in 2013 but I can't find any (free) download of it in 5.1.

That's one of my favourite parts. Maybe I'm biased but Mariah's verse is the catchiest and easiest for me to learn/sing.

her team or whoever destroued every chances Beautiful had after it was released... song was picking up EXTREMLEY well, didn't it go top 30 without any promo... then video happened... then she broke her arm... but before it they really delayed the promo... what did they expect it, just to land at #1 after few hours it was amazing song, but everything else was wrong... album delay, how could I forget about that one... anyway at least elusive chantuse was a masterpiece
