Correct reasons why the singles that didn't smash, didn't smash:

Unconditionally: Overshadowed by Dark Horse / Walking on Air (wrong timing)
Birthday: Overshadowed by Dark Horse, bad music video (wrong timing, wrong video)
This Is How We Do: Released after flop, no radio support (wrong timing, unfortunate circumstance)

Like I've always said, all they'd have to do is rearrange the order of the singles (and give Birthday a better video) and the era would have been fine. Roar, Dark Horse, TIHWD, (Legendary Lovers), Birthday, Unconditionally. Easy.

Long Shot had so much potential. It has amazing lyrics, if it was re-recorded today with her stronger vocals and got a little bit of a polish on the production it'd be one of Katys absolute best. Does not deserve to be rotting as Track 10 on a Kelly Clarkson album.

(I love Kelly but I feel like her voice is too strong for the song, it suits a weaker vocal imo)

Probably #1 on my Unreleased Katy Chart, can't think of any competitors for the title right now.

I was also surprised when I saw that Katy wrote it
