Lanas lyricism is def distinctive but then again so is Taylors. It's just that, they kinda encapsulate one subject and just stick with it. The lyricism and melodies and layered vocals all serve to create a moody somewhat haunting atmosphere and this happens in like every song of hers I've heard.
