I went to see it a second time and it was SO much better. I just relaxed and enjoyed it for what it was.

Not as good as the originals, but infinitely superior to the horrific prequels.

I loved it. Love that it has the asthetic of the originals. However I kind of miss the big light saber fights like the prequels and the non starwars "feeling they had if that makes scenes. I grew up on the prequals and love them.

That lightsaber fight was incredible though. I'd probably put it top three in the series, there is so much weight to it. They are both so emotional and just lunging for the kill. Brutal stuff and amazing cinematography.

I saw it Wednesday , and I have to admit , I really enjoyed it! For some reason , a started to scream with the rest of the crowd when we saw the SW logo, I had chills

JJ did a great job, I loved the visuals. The characters were interesting, I'm actually more excited about the new ones. I love Rey (independent, gorgeous and intriguing) and Finn (cool background story, funny and pretty courageous). BB-8 was the cutest thing, whenever it wasn't on screen I was like "where my robot at?".
It was a shock to see Domnhall Gleeson like that tbh, he's so adorable in About Time or Frank. He did a great job. I'm hoping for a scene with Oscar Isaac in the next episode for an Ex Machina reunion.
Kyle Ren, well I hate his ass especially after what happens to Han f****** Solo , so well done!

The last scene was so intense, I really need to know what links Rey to Luke. Being his father would be pretty obvious, too obvious even. But the fact that she was able to get Luke's light saber and Kylo didn't makes me think that they are related. In that case , who's the mother? Aren't Jedis suppose to live like monks?

No. That was the old Jedi Order that imposed that limitations on family. In the EU explanation, they believed that the kind of love Anakin and Padme shared, it's the most selfist kind of love. A contradiction to the way of the Force that's taught by the Jedi. An ancient mode of thinking that was discarded when Yoda trained Luke; so it's safe to assume that Jedi are allowed families (even in this new established canon).

It was a nice movie overall. It felt a bit dragging in the middle but the beginning and end were really exciting. Rey and Finn are really interesting characters and I'm really interested to see how they unfold, especially with their connections to the Force. Two characters that disappointed me though were Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma. Phasma looked like such a flop despite her promotion and I didn't really like Kylo Ren's character. Other villains like Darth Maul and Palpatine were villainous but were very interesting, but Kylo Ren just came off a bit whiney to me and Adam Driver looks like Moises Arias. We'll *hopefully* see more of his character in the next episode, though.

Also the ending was so iconic. I wonder how much they had to pay good sis Mark Hamill for that cameo

Just got out of the IMAX showing. The movie ABSOULTELY blew my mind. I loved it so much. I'm still in shock about some things though. Nonetheless, it was EPIC.

In the Extended Universe, he had himself cloned and Luke apprenticed himself to the Palpatine clone for a time before the clone died due to the instability of the cloning process.
