I love how the content of the song is so heavy and somber, but she sings it in such a detached(or perhaps overwhelmed/numb is better) manner up until the big note. There's such a dramatic hold in of emotion until that big release. And then she dials it back at the end of the song as sort of resigning herself to accept that life is fleeting. Every phrase is carefully sung in that song.
