Basically...

She was fighting with her record label because they said it was too expensive to release it with The Fame for the same price.

That resulted in this last minute desicion of The Fame being taken off it.

I imagine it's all the same material and the same release date. She might record some new tracks as well or she might put some on that she left off it.

She said about the fighting and it not have The Fame on now on Wetten Dass...? which is a german TV show she was just on. She also premiered a clip of Bad Romance vid which is in the videos section.

It might have to be pushed back if she's adding new tracks....albums usually have a deadline to be completed, pressed, shipped and all that so it depends on the timeframe needed to get all that done...

Yeah I thought that but she did say she had other new songs that she left off originally because she thought these 8 go really well together but she might add those on to get it out on the 23rd.

I'll be interested to see how having no gap between era's effects chart performance etc.

In that case, it's probably best it be pushed back. If she didn't think the other songs didn't mesh with the 8 "Monster" tracks then...it probably will sound like a rushed album. And Gaga seems to have an idea of how she wants her album to sound, so she'll probably want take the time to craft songs that suit her idea of the"Monster" concept.
