It's weird how y'all had so many excuses for Grace but 0 for how it couldn't be Hester.
I do think the finale was terrible and did an awful job at summing up the show and an even more abysmal final scene of Chanel getting "killed." (That's supposed to be the murder).

Hester was almost always a possibility, but it seemed a little too obvious since she was clearly insane. The Grace possibility was a much better ending and a less predictable one, so a lot of us jumped on that since there did seem to be a ton of evidence pointing towards her if you looked at it that way.
The problem with the finale (for me) isn't that Hester is the killer, it's that there are SO many plotholes, and the final hour was drawn out and boring. It hardly felt like the same show.
Do you guys SERIOUSLY think being a Chanel is even remotely ideal or healthy or what most people would want? 
I had a feeling Hester would be the killer, after seeing the last episode I knew that Pete couldn't be the main Red Devil but had to be involved, and Grace being killer felt so interesting but too good to be true. 
I'll admit I was kind of disappointed that there wasn't so much action in the second episode. After the first episode I was expecting a huge bloodbath for the second one, but the second episode felt like one huge epilogue. Nevertheless, it was nice I guess, I thought the ending was really cute with Chanel learning to like the asylum. To be honest the finale as a whole made me like Chanel a lot more, she was my least favorite character but I liked how in the beginning of the finale she learned to befriend Zayday and I absolutely loved her monologue at the end of the finale. My main gripe with the finale though was that it felt a bit underwhelming, barely any of the characters died even though Ryan made it sound like everyone except five people would die, and I found it silly how Grace and Zayday didn't even care about Hester taking over KKT even though they know that she's the killer.
