I dont know how much he has written on the songs but the lyrics of One Last Time, Just One Last Time, Without You, Titanium and What I Did for Love are not shallow.

I also have no problem with Guetta. She's always working with producers and getting weird/unexpected sounds out of them. Plus, POTR slays my soul every time.

Ummm Calvin is great (if we ignore most of his last album)

Guetta produced Ariana's best song (One Last Time) which was really different from what he usually does.

I'm pretty sure both producers can come up with something new, different and exciting for Rih if they got to work with her again.

Guetta became generic TRASH during "Nothing But The Beat" (sans Titanium) but has slowly been less trash lately. I'm less opossed to a track by him now than I was back when Unapologetic came out.

It's not really Guetta's fault that Rih chose (or the label forced) the generic trash called Right Now. It's hardly fair to blame him for that. I'm sure they all knew it wasn't good

Wasn't the original version of the song also different? There's an interview where Nicky Romero says she heard the beat of the original Right Now and another beat they were working on, and asked them to "combine" both

The only other version of RN is the demo with Neyo that they played at a club before it was released. It was still terrible, and mostly the same. That song screams "label's pick" anyway from Rih ignoring it completely to the lack of sure fire hits on the album. The label probably felt it was a safe hit, even though anyone with a brain would tell you it was dated.

Right Now was a "just in case everything else flops" song, lbr it would be a hit for sure if she promoted it even tho it's dated. Don't know why they released it tho, after the success of Diamonds and Stay, all those flawless songs on una got snubbed because of Right Now
