This is soooo stupid. "She had literally the whole year", well the album wasn't ready so...? You'd rather have an unfinished album go #1 than a 'perfect' album peaking at #2 or #3 ?

She was stalling for the Samsung deal, silly. What's a #1 album, when you get 25 million added to your bank account? Think how many vacations Rihanna can take Melissa on with that?

Her Samsung deal took 7 months of talking before it was finialized. She wasn't gonna release the album without it.

Spare me the "Samsung Deal" talk. I'm kinda sure she was the one withholding it because the album wasn't done. Like if she'd show them what they're putting their money into, maybe the deal would be closed faster. Instead she chose to design socks and tattoos, also going on several vacations throughout 2015.

But now that the Samsung deal is done they still don't have an idea of how to proceed or when to release the album. This diary thing confirmed it. Samsung wasn't the reason for the delay.

I'm not saying Rih shouldn't be held accountable. I'm simply saying it's common sense if I know I can get a huge sponsor to pay for my album rollout I'm going to wait until the deal is final before putting out the album.

That's just good business. Rih didn't have to pay out of pocket for this rollout and prob won't have to pay for tour. If the album does bomb she's not at a loss.

I still think having these ads on TV without a date or a preorder link on the website is dumb. So I'm not afraid to acknowledge the slip up that's have happened this era.

I'm sure there were various reasons for the delay but the deal was one of them. Someone who actually attended a marketing meeting w Rih spoke about her deal back in August when she was in Barbados, before it was even public knowledge. It really was a long drawn out proces of negotiations.
