Still not sold on the actual song, sonically at least, but the video and message are really great.
People are already saying that the video is objectifying refugees and not taking a strong enough position, but I disagree. M.I.A. gets a lot of flack for being accused of "not making solid political statements" with her music and visuals, but I think that's one of the things that makes her brilliant. She doesn't have all of the answers but is calling attention to these critical issues and allowing her audience to conduct their own discourse.

Yeah, I get the feeling that she meant to ruffle a few feathers with this one. She's bringing to the surface a lot of contentious issues so naturally there's gonna be some backlash.
