I wrote this months ago and can't be bothered to update but Be Good To Me went on to sell 5M more and become the best selling single of all time.

I've moved on to the Guilty Pleasures era and released Crank It Up as the lead. I tried maximizing sales by not releasing it in the US immediately so I could focus all my promo in the other territories and vice versa. It ended up underperforming in the UK/Asia and straight up flopping in Europe aka the only other territories that matter. Now I've released it in the US and even with more promo than usual the sales are same as always. The only thing my release strategy seems to have done is kill my chances at another WW #1.
