Here's my take:

No one actually important in the music business (think execs, etc) thinks that the Hot 100 is "boring" or "too slow." The chart is designed to reflect the popularity of current music. It's INSANE and absolutely abhorrent that a song in the top 30 of the most popular songs of the country will not be listed as such because of its age.

The Hot 100 is a POPULARITY chart. Age should NOT matter!

Looking at Radioactive's chart run, I *think* it would have fallen out in its 68th week.

But 2 weeks later it was back at #25, and I'm not sure exactly how Billboard deals with songs that go recurrent but then have enough points to come back so high...
Like, people have noted songs that went recurrent but definitely seemed like they should be back in the T50, but for unknown reasons weren't.

Once a song goes recurrent they super rarely let it back in. Needs to be a special case and they decide if they think it's a sustained boost.
