I'm really disappointed that I couldn't adapt my original message into a song. I wanted to write mine about people with disabilities, such as Down Syndrome (which my brother has), and how society needs to look beyond the disability and at the abilities, love, and joy they do have. But everything I tried ended up very cliché and generic.

I think that the best way to write about any sort of illness or disability is typically through storytelling country music. But a lot of it turns out not so great.
