back in impel down Luffy was hesitant on letting Croc out but Ivank(?idk its name, the purple fro guy) said that he knew something about Croc's past that would make sure Croc doesn't pull something stupid.
Since Ivan has the hormone fruit there is two main theories on what the secret is.
a) Croc was a female during his rookie days and was changed into male (I'm guessing to be taken more serious, who knows?)
b) he had peter pan syndrome (????! I don't get this theory and it makes 0 sense but it's one of the other main theories)
