Hold me like nobody else does
Do I get the best of your love?
Even when our bodies are drunk
Is it me you're stumbling from?
Forget the words that you said
With your fingers spell out my name
Take away the sky in our breath
Remember love is a game
The aftertaaaaaaaste. The aftertaaaaaase. The aftertaaaaaase. The aftertaaaaaase.
Just to read and catch up with the thread and the news. Can't believe I made it congrats to the top 2 also congrats to Matty and ceremonials for making it this far. I defiantly dig your lyricism, sistrens, so feel free to send me any of your songs you want feedback on. And a big YASSSSS to this challenge. My element.
I'VE GOT A LAWYER AND A MANAGER

A GARDENER AND A STYLIST DO YOU THINK I'M SATISFIED
I'm gonna listen to Springsteen (for the first time in ages) because he's got a ton of great songs that fall into this category. I refuse to be the one to submit some vapid wannabe socially important pop bop.
You know there are a lot of creative ways to take it too.
I'm thinking of certain songs from Rhythm Nation like "State of The World", or even Madonna's "In This Life". Both address social issues but feel like more genuine and personal songs that could work outside of this challenge.
I'd suggest looking at some of those kinds of songs for inspiration rather than the Fireworks/Born This Ways
^In This Life is in my social issues playlist that I'm going through right now, even though I forgot to mention it earlier. One of my favorite Madonna songs.
Speaking of BTW. Let's try to be socially conscious with our social message songs. She's a mess for trying to make a gay rights song and then use what are essentially racial slurs / stereotypes in it.
