I need them to dive further into occultism for Season 6(66). The theme should be religion. The exorcism/possession in Asylum was giving us a taste. The Baphomet (part man, part goat) should play a role like the Minotaur in Coven.

Season 7 then should be about the 7 Sins. The theme should be about Recognition. I would either cast Melissa McCarthy or Mare Winningham as the person who suffers from Gluttony and Alexandra Breckenridge for Lust. Maybe Evan Peters for Sloth as a man who can't get a job dressed in hobo clothes.

I was surprised how much tension there was in the latest episode. I was on the edge of my seat during some scenes.

However, when they revealed Gaga's ugly child, I burst out laughing. It was so predictable how that thing looks. They did the same thing with Twisty last year, they were hyping up what's hidden behind his mask, and when they finally showed it it was like 'Really, that's it?' I wish the writers would step up their game and try to shock us with something other than throats being slashed and random sex scenes.

But I like this season much more than the last two. It's goofy af, but at least it isn't boring.

I've been rewatching Murder House and the thing that really sticks out is the lack of suspense since S3. Coven had none, the closest that Freakshow came to horror imo was when Ramona was hiding from Dandy in her trailer because it felt like it could go either way & she may well have died. I didn't feel any of that tension in Coven because people just got brought back to life (only when convenient for the writing) and Hotel they remain as ghosts.

The school scene in Hotel was really something else, like a flashback to S1's style. But still I think the horror peaked in 1 and 2, particularly the awesome directing in Murder House with Tate at school and the Halloween episodes were great.

It was definitely Jessica's acting peak (not coincidentally the least campy role she's played). It seems like after an initial great role, Ryan and the writers typecast the actors by writing subsequent seasons with characters very similar to their debut. Angela has been doing the same **** for 3 years, Kathy went downhill after Delphine, Frances hasn't touched how well she did in S1 and the only one who's really honestly slayed every season are Denis O'Hare and Lily Rabe.

That was the first time they did it so it was fresh, it was an interesting reveal and suspenseful in the lead up. We already knew the drill from episode one in Hotel so they've yet to do something else that's stood out or been scary except the school outbreak.
My point was basically that since Coven it's been more or less American Dramedy Story, it's not been horror.

Mrs Evers has been my favourite character in Hotel so far I think.

Ok, It can't be John the 10ck. I think my final guess is:

It's Alex. It has to be. As I already mentioned previously, she said "I know this guy that has always wanted 2 girls" which can very well mean that John cheated - one reason for Alex's bad bitch behaviour. And secondly I just noticed, while rewatching, she has this cane/stick in her hands, the same that Mr March has and the figure in the House from episode one had, it's her

Damn.... no matter if its John or not, it's already a great plotline, considering It's kind of confusing who it is ...... and at the same time makes sense for either one. Even for the Countess, but I bet it's not her.

Alex would make no sense. If it was true that John maybe betrayed her and she is still angry at him for losing Holden, why would she kill doozens of people that break the 10 Commandments? To frame him for the murders, so he gets locked away in prison? If she wants him in prison or maybe dead she would have probably told the Swedish girls to kill him, not to ''break his mind'' so he runs away from the Hotel. She knows what a **** place it is and that it makes him crazy, that's why she wanted him to get away from there and to find himself again. She cares for him. in a way. But she can't support him fully because she wants to keep Holden a secret and she wants to divorce - more contact would bring them back together and she does not want that anymore.

It's way more logical that John is the killer. They aren't even hiding it, and this is no ''it's obvious so it can't be'' situation, because it 100% makes sense.
Mr March mentors him. That's why he was invited to the diner. Mr Marchs kills, like, everyone, except for him, because he is interested in him. That's also why Mr March appeared on the crime scene in the first episode - John probably made that up in his mind, March is controlling and using him.
They can't tell us that Mr March hates religion, killed people for breaking the not-work-on-sunday-rule in 1930 (right before he killed himself, so he couldn't continue the 10C-killings) and then continue the pattern with the other commandments murders in modern time, only for it to be Alex because she somehow dislikes her husband.

It's just that John suffers from memory loss, which is also confirmed.
The story is not about finding out who the killer is, it's about John finding out he is the killer and why March chose him.
