From what I believe, the Aunt made stuff about the incest because she wanted Caleb + Catherine to go down for their adopted parents' murder. The maid said she saw them messing around, but it wasn't true; the photo of them kissing was because they were "comforting" each other or something on the morning after their parents' murder. Plus, Catherine had a test done to prove that she is a virgin, so they can't have been having sex with one another.
So really, Catherine is fooling with her adopted father and adopted aunt's biological son, and Caleb is sleeping with his lawyer's assistant. Mess.
Honestly, this is my favourite TV show, along with LOST. Fantastic plots, superb acting and it's so progressive as a TV show (central character is a bisexual black woman, many LGBT+ characters, Asian characters with main roles and so much more). It all feels so natural as well; none of it feels like its included for the sake of "look how nice we are!!!!111". It's the best show being broadcasted on TV at the moment.
