I remember I got in trouble for attending

. I was going to all my lectures/seminars but for some reason my name wasn't being signed on the register thing. I got a letter sent home and had a meeting scheduled to and I was PISSED. I wrote a lengthy email to my course leader. Nnn let me post it here if I can find it.

To *****,
I am writing in regards to the letter I received on 25th Feb concerning my 'lack of attendance' in accordance to university attendance policy. The policy clearly states:
"Where a student has failed to attend a module for a period of three weeks, academic tutors must inform the person nominated by their pathway (whether pathway leader/year tutor/pathway administrator or whoever is allocated this responsibility) of this continuing absence."
At the start of the course we were told that 3-week period meant that if we missed a lecture, tutorial, seminar for a period of 3 weeks IN A ROW we would receive a letter. I do not understand why I have received this letter because I have never missed anything for a period of 3 weeks in a row. I also do not understand as to why I have received this letter when the majority of people on the course attend less than I do and have not received a letter. This is clearly unfair, unprofressional and quite insulting to me. There have been many students who I have not seen literally for weeks and have not received this letter.
I also would like to know how the students selected were chosen. I have spoken to a student who attends literally everything and they also received this letter. There has obviously been some sort of mishap within the business school or wherever registers are checked by staff. Someone obviously needs firing.
I would like to take this opportunity to mention the lack of registers that are handed out by the staff. I know for a fact that some of the lecturers do not hand registers out most weeks. If they do hand a register out a selfish student will sign it and not pass it on. I'm here to learn and further my career prospects which requires my upmost concentration when teachers/lecturers are teaching. I am not going to spend an hour fretting about the register not being passed around. Due to this most of us forget that there is a register being passed around. I am not to blame for this inefficiency. I am absolutely furious that I have received this letter. For the past few weeks I have been considering transferring to another insitution because I have not been happy regarding feedback, assignment guidance and a lot of other things mentioned by the student rep and in the focus group with Janet. Receiving this letter is the nail in the coffin and I have finalised my decision to transfer if possible.
I pay £4 a day to get a bus from **** to get to university. This bus runs every hour and lasts for a duration of 80 minutes. Why would I waste almost 3 hours of a day on a crowded, smelly bus just to skip university? It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Also due to this would it be possible to change the date of the meeting because I honestly do not want to spend 3 hours just to come in for a meeting I should not really be attending.
Regards
****
