Don't underestimate Katy.

Everyone was sure that Artpop would outsell Prism before the album releases and most people doubted that Prismatic would be grossing over 200 millions. She proved everyone wrong.

WD peaking at #5 despite being *****d out by pop radio proves that she's starting to get overexposed. I hope for her sake that she stops at single #5 because apart from the fact that there aren't any single worthy songs left on the album, she'll definitely notice a decline in success from single #5 to single #6 due to overexposure alone.

WD has 2/5 the amount of streams as TIHWD despite being a pop radio smash, following four other hit singles and being released during a streaming boom. Says a lot.

PRISM as an entire era was massive. I'm talking everything when I say era.

As far as the album and singles alone, it was lacklustre in comparison to Teenage Dream, obviously, but it wasn't a miss.

The fact that certain stanbases consider their fave's Top 20 peaking singles "hits" while us Kats consider Top 20/30 a massive flop says a lot.

I meant with the lead single. But true @ what you said. Without Uncle she could have at least had a 1989 type run, a few #1s and the rest Top 10s. But the damage was done after that.
