R8 era truly was the biggest mess of all time, they tried everything, changing her image to a more mature indie sound-FLOP, go back to being ratchet and classic rihanna -FLOP, try to capatalise on social movements and attempt to seem deep-FLOP. i can see why shes scared, they pulled everything out of the bag but nothing stuck
