I've finally cracked
All I want at this point is to pass my classes

I have an interview with a Harvard alumni on Thursday, any advice y'all? I'm a very nervous and quiet person so I'm worried that it will affect my application.

I never did any interviews so I don't know what to tell you other than good luck one thing would maybe be to make sure you don't try to answer questions too fast. Speak slowly so that you allow yourself time to make sure you're saying everything that you want to. Don't just talk out of your ass and never use cliches.

The first thing I did as soon as I came home was cry. I took on a workload heavier than I can manage (at least it feels like that)

I've cried about 3 times because of my Chem professor. He wouldn't excuse my absence because I was competing at state for tennis and I told him in advance. He also failed me on an exam even though I got the right answers even though I didn't do it the way he said to do it. He's just an asshole and I have a C- in there right now because of the failed exam and the lab reports he wouldn't accept because of competing at state. I have 3 Math/Science courses this semester and it really sucks.

The guy is like super old, he graduated in 1960 so I'll just be super nice and helpful.

Sounds like you need to speak with someone above him and have this sorted out. I don't know if youre in college or not but where I go this would not fly at all.

Yes, I'm in college. I have the director of the Math/Science department as my Pre-Calc professor, but I just feel like my chem professor will be even ruder to me after I complain about him.
Ever since I confronted him about the tennis situation and the exam, he's been grading my labs differently than the others in my group and in the class. I got a C on the lab while my lab partners got an A even though they copied the math from me.

I got a C on my first Chem midterm, a D on my second, and will probably continue the trend with an F on my next one.



At least I got a 96 on my Art History midterm which I thought I failed.
