Both are seen as huge lows for the iconic horror franchise but what do you prefer? The somewhat panned third entry in movie franchise or the TV show with mixed reviews?

Two and four say hello. The series is a mess tho kind of enjoyable but with only a few good moments and a low body count and no original ideas the show is awful.
Honestly, I prefer the series. While I hated some characters I actually cared about a few unlike Scream 3 (I only liked Sidney, Gale, and queen Jennifer). It also had better kills, more fun twists, and it was actually serious.

The show had 9 kills (12 if we are including flashbacks). 9/12 deaths for a 10 episode season is not low. If anything, they should have done a kill every other episode (since having a kill every episode would be tedious and predictable) instead of having three kill-less episodes in a row.

I mean a low body count in the main cast. Emma never went through any real tragedy, nobody had phone calls besides her. Emma didn't even have an attack besides the reveal and a small moment at the Bowling Alley.

died in the finale. She did go through tragedy though. Did you forget she saw
her boyfriend get sawed in half?
I agree it needed more attacks and phone calls though. I bet the showrunner will add those in season two.

Yeah and she got over that quick. She hooked up with Kieran quick. Sidney's boyfriend raped her mother and had his friend rape her too. Then to find out her brother is reason for her tragedies.

Yeah she did get over it quick I'll give you that. Her randomly getting PTSD for a day and then it stopping was nn too.
