I was listing all the real people AHS has used and built stories around, in response to the person I was commenting on who didn't like the use of real life serial killers.

I mean, making The Black Dahlia murder part of a ghost's deeds, implying that Anne Frank was alive, trying to make the real life Delphine LaLaurie seem sympathetic even though she was a brutal murderer and horrible racist, and calling the real life Edward Mordrake a freak who is now trapped in supernatural limbo forever, when he really did kill himself to escape the torture of his second face is all pretty offensive and exploitative. Glorifying Aileen Wuornos, Gacy, Dahmer etc. is so intentionally chasing shock value, its practically part of AHS tradition.

The reason I don't like 1 is that I hate the characters there. They are so basic drama characters. I love the crazy and unique people like Misty, Myrtle, Madison, Fiona, Marie and Delphine. OMG I love Coven so much

Lily Rabe as Aileen Wuornos is just amazing.

Omg I wish they would stop giving Wes emotional scenes or scenes in general because he's not very good it, I'd appreciate more shirtless scenes like the ones we had on this episode tho

and Gaga's acting with Chloe was so cheesy, it reminded me of that last scene in the premiere episode 2 remains the best in this season so far everyone was slaying.

This episode was also nice, loved Devil Night.

I need this show to go all the wayuntil 2019 or 2020, and then it can wrap up. I need it to last this entire decade. If it does, it will be my favorite thing about the 2010s.

Lily Rabe clearly stole the show in this episode. It must have taken a lot of time to study Aileen's personality. Ryan probably said to her: Just play a butch, lesbian hooker. And Lily did much more than that. And she makes it so damn good.

Mare was a close 2nd. She should get more recognition. She's definately on Jessica's & Frances' level.

idk. She played Kyle's mom, Pepper's sister and now this. Her roles have been small, but she makes you HATE her so much.

I'd say she could be Jessica-level, especially season3/4 standards. Not Frannie's though.

I think Mare is the true breakout star of this season. Every time I look at her I think to myself "Where have you been all my life?"

Out of all the AHS series, only he and Frances Conroy have truly transformed themselves every season. Season 1, season 3, season 4 and season 5 are all completely brand new unrecognizable characters.

I'm just talking about their acting abilities in general, not just iN AHS. Jessica for example would be a lot lower considering she played the same character basically 4 seasons in a row

What I learned from this episode is to never hand out a drink to Chloe Sevigny.



First she let the glasses of water and juice for Holden and herself fall to the floor. And in the other scene she rejected Gaga's nice gesture.

Why do people think Frances Conroy is so amazing. Yes in Murder House her acting was great but I found her cringe worthy at times as Myrtle Snow. Mare Winningham could easily be on her level or better if given a main role. I could see that by just the few scenes she's had this season.

Frances was the only one who did Coven CORRECTLY.

Maybe you had to watch it week-by-week as it was airing, but her character was a pure joy to watch and basically lifted every scene she was in.

Only one i liked as much as her was my poor swamp queen Misty Day

and Frances never repeats a character. She finds a new angle every time and commits 100% to it. That's why we all love her.

Fair enough I agree with you there. I think she's a great actress but I still see no reason why Mare is no where near her level. With just the small roles she's been given I've managed to despise them more than the main villains of the seasons. Granted her characters have helped that hatred but her acting has helped even further. Particularly her role in Freak show which I thought she was brilliant in.
