Last season I made a huge typo in one of my songs that made it nonsense. All the judges told me it made no sense. I meant "through the year at we've prayed and we've been prey" in seat I typed "we've preyed and we've been prayed" and I still hate myself for that
Okay. I finished my batch 1...there's only 15 people in batch 1, and I was going to do highest and lowest...so I will ONLY be doing Top 3/Bottom 3
Top 3:
1. I've seen their lyrics posted here quite often. (note: this isn't about a contestant's lyrics)
2. Very angsty.
3. I could feel the artist in this song!
Bottom 3 (starting from highest low):
3. You actually did better than they would've done tho...
2. A bit blunt for their usual style.
1. Too emotive for the concept of the album, in my opinion.
Now these are just excuses for you flopping and getting bad comments.
Sometimes songwriting has to take other forms than just being or writing about yourself. Look at Sia, she can put herself into a persons shoes, look at their life, and write a song as them. Katy Perry has her childish character. And honestly let's not fool around all of y'all are always in here talking about "wow this song is slaying me I'm so inspired" blah blah, it's not like y'all aren't already writing for other artists.
