Seems pretty certain at this point that he will have 250k+ sales and 18M+ streams and that will be enough for #3 at least, probably #2.
HB would need a huge streaming gain (5M) from the Vevo release to stay at #2.

oh well then that's awesome! hope you're right.

After the second season of American Idol in 2003, Runner-Up Clay Aiken debuted at #1 on the Hot 100 with "This Is The Night." Champion Reuben Studdard debuted at #2 with his double sided hit "Flying Without Wings" (Pop/AC/Hot AC)/Superstar (Urban/Rhythmic). That is the only time the Top Two songs on the Hot 100 have been debuts.

Beatles didn't do it. Back then songs very rarely debuted in the top 10 and never debuted at #1.
"You Are Not Alone" in 1995 was the first song to ever debut at #1.

The Beatles did have the first song to debut in the Top 10 -- Hey Jude at #1 (moved 10-3-1), but that was 1968. They would later set the pre-Soundscan Era record for the highest debut with Let It Be (#6), but that wasn't until 1970 (6-2-2-1). However, the Beatles did hold the record for a long time relating to the fastest climb to #1 and the biggest jump to #1 -- Can't Buy Me Love debuted at #27 and vaulted to #1 its second week. CBML was during the time the Beatles held down the Top Five in 1964.

So even if Adele didn't release this week Justin would've blocked Drake anyway, Ariana would've next week. He can't win.

Thanks! LIGLY is definitely over performing, never expected it to become a T20 hit
What peak for LIGLY seems reasonable at this point? Its iTunes performance is very strong and it's super radio friendly, so I assume streaming is holding it back?

Yes streaming is it's weakness so far, but it's really gaining traction there too.
Top 10 peak is super likely.

It's current success (infact, even its success 2 months ago) suggests it will go top 10. I base this on the fact that it sold so much on iTunes with hardly any airplay.
Only thing is the song isn't doing that well in streaming compared to on sales and airplay, but it's gathered steam on streaming the past couple of weeks.

Elle King, "Ex's & Oh's"
Quote:
More than a year after it was released to radio, the track reaches the Radio Songs top 10 (11-8), up by 12 percent to 82 million in all-format audience, according to Nielsen Music. On the Hot 100, it rises to a new high (16-15). The infectious blues/rock song, which topped Alternative Songs for three weeks (and has ranked in the airplay chart's top five for more than three months), holds at No. 4 on Adult Pop Songs and jumps 17-12 on Pop Songs.
|
Demi Lovato, "Confident"
Quote:
Following her hit "Cool for the Summer," Lovato is staying on fire for the fall. As her new album Confident debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, the set's title track vaults into the Hot 100's top 40 (58-31). It wins top Streaming Gainer honors, as it bounds by 43 percent to 4.3 million U.S. streams. The song also surges by 127 percent to 48,000 sold.
Lovato performed "Cool" (No. 42 on the Hot 100) and "Confident" in a medley on NBC's Saturday Night Live Oct. 17.
|
DNCE, "Cake by the Ocean"
Quote:
The Joe Jonas-led band bows at No. 79 on the Hot 100 with its introductory single, which climbs 34-32 on Pop Songs. It also soars by 60 percent to 2.7 million U.S. streams and by 24 percent to 14,000 downloads sold.
The origin of the song's title? After a few days of "hanging out and having a few drinks" with Swedish producers Mattman & Robin, Jonas recalls, "Cake by the Ocean" was inspired by the Swedes' slip-up of the name of the cocktail sex on the beach.
|
The Chainsmokers feat. ROZES, "Roses"
Quote:
The duo charts its second Hot 100 hit (No. 95), after "Selfie" snapped up a No. 16 peak in April 2014. On Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, "Roses" bullets at its No. 8 high; "Selfie" led the list for two weeks last year.
|
Pentatonix, "Can't Sleep Love"
Quote:
As the a cappella act scores its first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with its self-titled album, it enters the Hot 100 at No. 99 with lead single "Can't Sleep Love." Pentatonix, which also re-enters the Billboard Artist 100 at No. 5, previously hit the Hot 100 with two Christmas covers: "Little Drummer Boy" (No. 13, 2013) and "Mary, Did You Know?" (No. 26, 2014).

So Adele's total US streams for the first week (including YouTube) should be well above 60m.

Yeah, looking it up Miley had about 108M global views after 7 days, and topped Streaming Songs w/ 36.5M US streams (33,580,000 from YouTube), giving her a 1/3 ratio.
Nicki had 30.9M US Youtube Views out of 76M global views after 6 days (video got released on Tuesday not Monday): so that's approx. 41%.
Adele had 145M global views in the tracking week, and let's say we use 35% as the ratio, that's 51M US YouTube views.
51M+ On-Demand Streams 28M = 79M streams, the closest yet to "Harlem Shake's" 103M.

According to my sources (not sure if it's correct) in period 10/23 - 10/27 'Hello' was streamed 18.5M times in US. It means only 17% comes from US

What sources?
And are those sources maybe talking about on-demand streams only?

My twitter friend ( ) sometimes send me YT stats (he has access to rare YT stats so I'm not sure if it's correct):
'Hello' - total (Content ID): 110,282,404 total views
Adele - 'Hello'
US: 18,457,568
UK: 7,625,731
'Someone Like You' - total (Content ID): 10,648,059 total views
Adele - 'Someone Like You'
US: 1,782,127
UK: 736,284
Edit: That 18% looks correct. http://hitsdailydouble.com/vevo_top_25_charts
On HDD list 'Love Me Like You Do' was global and got 10% Vevo views from US.
