The label wanted to continue pushing the tracks but Gaga was already ready for the next chapter. Her work ethic during that time was unbelievable. And I know how badly it affected her health but this is the Gaga I loved the most because she knew she was slaying and just so confident and hungry for the top. I hope she has that same hunger again next year.

Lady Gaga's work ethic has never faltered and the belief that it has is disappointing. Gaga is a woman who works day in and day out to get done what she wants to get done. Back then it seemed like she was working harder because she went from nobody to somebody. Now that she is a somebody, it's not as easy to recognize how hard she's working because she can't get any bigger than she is.
That hunger you're talking about has always been there. She is hungry for her music, art, and for what she does. She doesn't have to aim for the "top" to be hungry as the "top" is not the only goal anymore. She has been at the top and she didn't like it as much as she thought she would. Her goal now is not the "top", it's to be the best she can be.

She's abandoned following trends and is focusing on a more timeless sound, look and legacy and that is exactly what she should be doing.
