Okay, Ichi; maybe I will just wait until Barnes & Noble gets it. Hopefully it won't be too expensive. I don't think CVS has ever held it, but I thought they might make an exception because it was Adele on the cover and it was her first interview in forever, so it was kind of a big deal.
Also... Thank you, Daydreams, for ruining "Hello" for all of us!
I agree, Edward. I'm glad I wasn't the only one that was concerned. Obviously if she were to go that route, it wouldn't be to compete with her peers. The pop sound would be her own choice and singing about sex would obviously be something personal. But based on how other artists approach sex in music, I was absolutely terrified about Adele was going to handle it. And "I Miss You" wasn't even the song I thought would be about sex; I thought that would be "Love in the Dark." Anyways... I agree. She can honestly tackle any genre and do it justice. I can definitely see her going down as the Céline Dion of our generation. But like you said, "Hello" is a lot more pop and it worked for her. As long as she doesn't stray too much from the sound/lyrics that she's done before, I'm happy if she evolves a bit as an artist. Obviously her mainstream success would make her more drawn to pop music because she knows it's what a lot of the fans will want to hear, but she's still doing her own thing, so I'm happy about that.
