I can't believe people actually think the GE is gonna be a cakewalk for Hillary.
Have people here ever looked at demographics and how each of the states usually vote?
Can HRC win Georgia? Or Florida?
People shouldn't look at Obama's #s (which weren't even that great in 2012 to begin with considering he got a record low % of white voters, almost ever) and assume that's transferable to Hillary. Blacks are not going to turn out the same way they did in 2012

Romney should of easily beat Obama in 2012...Hurricane Sandy was a pre-election gift to Obama.
Hillary is banking on a big hispanic turnout...that's why she wants Trump to be the GOP nominee.

How's does Liberal math work? 2014 is when they took full control of congress. It hasn't even been a full year yet.

Hillary will be just as strong as Obama in 2012, if not as strong as 2008. Depends on the republican nominee
She (as with most democrats) don't even need Georgia to win but she has a better shot at that state than Obama. Actually she will easily outperform him in almost every Southern state which is considered staunchly republican. If she can carry the easy democratic states + a few swing states (New Mexico, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Colorado, Missouri, Virginia, North Carolina) and nab even just one of the republican stronghold states (South Carolina, Georgia, Arkansas, Louisiana, West Virginia) she has this election in a landslide

Hilary's History of Corruption via Reddit
Quote:
For the younger voters.... here is a bit of Hillary I am betting you won’t remember... Many people who may vote in the democratic primary election and the general election in 2016 have no real knowledge of Mrs. Clinton or her accomplishments. As a public service, I thought I would provide some input regarding her triumphs for consideration.
When Bill Clinton was president, he allowed Hillary to assume authority over a health care reform. Even after threats and intimidation, she couldn’t even get a vote in a democratic controlled congress. This fiasco cost the American taxpayers about $13 million in cost for studies, promotion, and other efforts.
Then President Clinton gave Hillary authority over selecting a female attorney general. Her first two selections were Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood – both were forced to withdraw their names from consideration. Next she chose Janet Reno – husband Bill described her selection as “my worst mistake.” Some may not remember that Reno made the decision to gas David Koresh and the Branch Davidian religious sect in Waco, Texas resulting in dozens of deaths of women and children.
Husband Bill allowed Hillary to make recommendations for the head of the Civil Rights Commission. Lani Guanier was her selection. When a little probing led to the discovered of Ms. Guanier’s radical views, her name had to be withdrawn from consideration.
Apparently a slow learner, husband Bill allowed Hillary to make some more recommendations. She chose former law partners Web Hubbel for the Justice Department, Vince Foster for the White House staff, and William Kennedy for the Treasury Department. Her selections went well: Hubbel went to prison, Foster (presumably) committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign. Many younger voters will have no knowledge of “Travelgate.” Hillary wanted to award unfettered travel contracts to Clinton friend Harry Thompson – and the White House Travel Office refused to comply. She managed to have them reported to the FBI and fired. This ruined their reputations, cost them their jobs, and caused a thirty-six month investigation. Only one employee, Billy Dale was charged with a crime, and that of the enormous crime of mixing personal and White House funds. A jury acquitted him of any crime in less than two hours Still not convinced of her ineptness, Hillary was allowed to recommend a close Clinton friend, Craig Livingstone, for the position of Director of White House security. When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of about 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (Filegate) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, suddenly Hillary and the president denied even knowing Livingstone, and of course, denied knowledge of drug use in the White House. Following this debacle, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office after more than thirty years of service to seven presidents.
Next, when women started coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment and rape by Bill Clinton, Hillary was put in charge of the “bimbo eruption” and scandal defense. Some of her more notable decisions in the debacle were: · She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit. After the Starr investigation they settled with Ms. Jones. · She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor. After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr’s investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs. · Hillary’s devious game plan resulted in Bill losing his license to practice law for lying under oath to a grand jury and then his subsequent impeachment by the House of Representatives. · Hillary avoided indictment for perjury and obstruction of justice during the Starr investigation by repeating, “I do not recall,” “I have no recollection,” and “I don’t know” a total of 56 times while under oath. · After leaving the White House, Hillary was forced to return an estimated $200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork that she had stolen.
Now we are exposed to: the destruction of possibly incriminating emails while Hillary was Secretary of State and the “pay to play” schemes of the Clinton Foundation – we have no idea what shoe will fall next. But to her loyal fans – “what difference does it make?”

this.
+ the reason Republicans have been increasingly harping on Benghazi and then the emails in these last few years is because two years ago, some polls were done in Texas that showed Hillary could turn Texas blue.
Quote:
The Lone Star State is headed blue — the only question is WHEN Texas becomes a Democratic state. If Hillary Clinton runs for president, she will have a fighting chance of carrying Texas, which shares revolutionary demographic trends rewriting the rules of politics, and of creating opportunities for Democrats to regain control of the House and achieve a national realignment of Rooseveltian magnitude.
No less an authority than Karl Rove is known to have been worrying about the political future of Texas for years, with good reason. If Clinton were to run in 2016, she would attract a giant surge of the demographically powerful Hispanic vote, an equally giant surge of the equally powerful women’s vote, a strong surge of support from younger voters who are developing lifetime habits of voting Democratic, and strong support from seniors and boomers.
|
The Hill
So it's not surprising the Republican mud and witchhunt machine started early in the process. If the GOP ever loses/cedes Texas, they will be a permanent minority party in the United States.

January 3rd, 2011 was the first day of the term in which one side of Congress was controlled by Republicans; it was the 112th Congress.
2015 - 2011 = 4
I don't consider anything truly significant to have occurred since then, so my math works just fine.

But the Hispanics have always had low voter turnout (and the Republicans have been threatening + insulting them for years) so. I'm not too sure if it will work, but you're right.
She'll need a hispanic VP choice for it to be really effective (which will lower the black voter turnout even more bc we officially have no dog in this fight)

She'll obviously outperform him with white voters but I think her appeal is grossly overstated on here.
The youth don't vote they/we just make noise on social media (older people are the reliable voting bloc), Hispanics have like 10 or 11% voteshare (and they vote badly), she'll win BIG with female voters, not so much with the males (bc reality), her favourables are just as tragic as Trump's etc etc
Basically, it's gonna be a tight race, not a landslide like most ppl seem to think.

I stand corrected it's your logic that is flawed and your ability to see past the donkey that is sitting on your nose.

GrOTUS turns 68 today! Let's show her some love, fellow Democrats (Independents welcome if not named Bernie Sanders).

Definitely! She's already involved with the Clinton Foundation and Clinton Global Initiative, and she campaigned for Hillary in 2008.
She said here that she's open to running one day.
If her mother becomes the first woman to hold the office of President, she'll be the first person whose parents are both former Presidents and she'll have the entirety of the Clinton Machine ready to stomp the competition for her.
Imagine having Clinton be the first surname to occupy the White House three times.

That family is a mess.
I'd want to marry in for political status if everyone associated with them didn't die tragically, kill someone else accidentally, or have their brains brutally dissected by their father.
JFK could have been another FDR for the Democrats if things had turned out better.
