B'day - I don't think I could do. I Am - it'd be so hard not to think of Christina's song. The Mariah ones...well my writing style was often said to be very Mariah last season and last season was not the tea for me. I have an idea for Unorthodox which I'm going to try.
i am so excited for this i can't wait to start writing it. i might go ham tomorrow i can usually write a full rap song in about an hour, but i want to revise it over and over as i didn't perform to my peak last round.

so I have a couple of questions. will the judging this week be more concentrated on how well the entry would fit into the chosen album, or the quality of the lyrics? I don't wanna get lashed for something "simple" but would be appropriate for my chosen album. I'm still a bit 50/50 since in colour is a very instrumental/production heavy album.
So with In The Zone, are these songs that they would sing or just songs that would fit onto the album?
Like, if I have a part similar to Madonna's verse where she says "C'mon Britney lose control", would that be incorrect? And should I write from a female perspective or be gender neutral ?
We can turn the heat up if you wanna
Turn the lights down low if you wanna

Really great era options too. My entry last season was for Beyoncé's self-titled. It's such a cool challenge that really pushes you (one of my personal favourites).
