Well, that's to be expected since so many other contestants stepped up their game this week too. So sometimes when you feel like you've done better, you might still go down. For example I reached #1 last season but that was only because everyone else did bad I'm also excited to start the next round! I'll probably take more time with my song this week.

Mine are always better too

I feel like I can never completely relate to other people's lyrics. I don't feel like anybody else is saying what I'm saying or means what I mean. Which is why even though I find myself in the middle of the rankings I'm beyond happy I wrote these songs because firstly, I love them, and second, it's great to have them kind of like a vent of my feelings in what is generally a very emotive and new period of my life

Oop I'm not quite here yet but I do agree that a lot of songs people use the emote for and call relatable I find good but not like I can relate to them. Songs I actually find relatable are very few, but they include Taylor's Never Grow Up and Tove Lo's Moments

yes I totally get you! tbh I haven't written a song yet that comes completely from my heart, considering I've only written 3 songs ever including my intro, but I hope to get there

A lot of it has to do with the scores being so close, I think scores might need to be curved a biT.
