Why are you guys so afraid of Adele? She's a force no doubt but there's no reason why she and Rih can't co-exist much like they did in 2011. Adele is not the type of celebrity that's gonna get wall to wall media coverage and drown out everyone else. The GP aren't gonna turn away from Rih because of Adele and we already know Rihanna is not aiming for #1s this era so really, Adele's success won't effect Rihanna much. If anything, it may help because there will be more buyers on the market and they may give ANTI a look.

How is it going to be ignored? Again, Adele slayed EVERYONE with 21 but almost all of the pop girls still managed to have successful eras. The media isn't going to pit Rih against Adele, they're too different as artist and they appeal to different audiences not to mention that Adele is held to much higher expectations in terms of the success of her music. She's not a huge 'celebrity' in the sense that they're not going to sensationalize every move she makes like a Beyonce or Gaga. It's not so much "afraid" of her, but more so just that the focus is on Adele now for the most part. It makes me sad because had Rih released earlier in the year she could have had all eyes on her had she put out a great record, but if she does that now she'll have to share the spotlight.
I also don't really think you can compare Adele now to 21. There was no hype around Adele at the time Loud came out. She was only beginning to grow and grow and by the time Someone Like You was released in the US, Rih was releasing WFL. But now the hype for Adele is so massive because she's so gigantic throughout the entire world...its just crazy really, so Adele is going to dominate on all fronts from the get go- from today. From the charts perspective it's whatever, but overall as far as the spotlight it's frustratingly sad.
You can't compare 2011 Rihanna who released strong,catchy and radio friendly singles like Love The Way Your Lie, Only Girl, and What's My Name? to 2015 Rihanna that is trying to release "artistic" songs. She has a weak fandom and low GP hype. ANTi will get overshadowed it's time to accept it lol.
