What do you define pop as though? What Gaga does is undoubtedly pop. When she said "**** You pop music" I think she meant the mainstream manufactured scene that we see in top 40 radio. That doesn't mean she was trashing pop music in general.

I don't know, it has that 'old school' music video feeling to me: choreography in a studio,
lots of backup dancers, glamour shots, pleasant imagery...
