Emma Roberts, Julian McMahon and Vera Farmiga to Join American Horror Story: Utopia

American Horror Story alumni Emma Roberts has been confirmed to be one of the leads in the upcoming season, Utopia, following the events surrounding an alien-worshipping cult in Colorado. Roberts, who has participated in Horror Story's past seasons Coven, Freak Show and Hotel, plays Aaryn Arlington, the wife of a New York senator who is kidnapped into the titular cult, and stated: "My character's a bit of a victim... She's snatched from this opulent life, and even though she's kind of put down by the situation she's in, she never really gives up." McMahon, who was a regular on Ryan Murphy's past show, Nip/Tuck, revealed his character is Adam, the father of Roberts' character and member of the cult's "cabinet" of leaders. Farmiga chose to remain silent on the details of her role, only stating the name to be Jillian Orbit, and that she would give further details as later cast announcements were made.

Chris Pratt and Lindsay Lohan to join 'American Horror Story: Farm'

After the enormous success of the fifth installement of the hit FX horror anthology 'American Horror Story', starring Lady Gaga; it's creator, Ryan Murphy confirmed the sixth season will take place on a Farm, not only that, but he also revealed that megastars Chris Pratt and Lindsay Lohan will be joining the 'American Horror Story' family.
"It's very exciting, both Lindsay and Chris called me personally, asking if I would write a role for them"; Murphy said. "It's overwhelming how every year more and more superstars want to be a part of this amazing phenomenon".
When asked about Chris' presence on the show Murphy said "We don't know yet, he's very busy being a megastar, we'd love for him to do the entire season, but we'll see how things work out". Murphy was also asked about the role the actor would play on the series; "I think lately he's been seen as this big American Hero, and all I can say for now is that we won't be seeing a lot from that on the show, Chirs wanted to do something very different from what he's used to do."
When asked about Lohan, Murphy said he's been working with her a lot more. "She's really commited to the show, it's the only thing she's been doing for many weeks now, I think she'll be an amazing addition, people will either love or hate her character."
Nothing else is known about the new season of 'American Horror Story' or what other stars will join or will be returning, but details will keep coming.

Željko Ivanek, Kerr Smith and Jamie Chung Join American Horror Story: Utopia

After the announcement of Emma Roberts, Julian McMahon as Vera Farmiga joining American Horror Story: Utopa, three more additions were announced this evening. Emmy-winning Damages star Željko Ivanek was revealed to join Utopi as series regular Mirogod Rekonov, the Russian creator of the show's titular cult. "He holds his power over the cult with an iron fist," Ivanek stated. "He tries to be inclusive of everyone's opinion, including this group of leaders he made, but everything is always his say. He invented this cult after contacting aliens, and he believes they're god-like superior beings." Kerr Smith was also announced to join as a series regular as Christian Steele, the brother of McMahon's character and the uncle of Roberts' character. Smith stated: "Christian's a doctor. He works hard, and is dedicated to his family. He knows what Adam [McMahon] is doing with the cult, but he turns a blind eye to it because it makes him happy." Finally, Jamie Chung, known for her roles in Big Hero 6 and Once Upon a Time, was announced to join in a recurring role as Gia Rekonov, the second wife of Mirogod Rekonov. "Miro really kind of saved her life," Chung stated. "She used to have no self-respect, and spent a lot of her life on the streets prostituting until he took her under his wing. She's a little naive, but very emotional about where she is and the people around her." Cast announcements were also said to continue throughout the week.

ROUND 0: Casting
Format: Story
Length: ~1 page
Elimination: N/A
Bonus: Yes
Deadline: October 25
Welcome...
You're probably wondering why we have a round 0. And the answer to that would be because it's a preliminary round, meaning no one gets eliminated. This round really just serves as a formality that makes it easier for the judges to keep track of everyone's themes, titles and characters. It also helps set up the groundwork for your season.
Being a preliminary round, it's obviously not going to be that hard. Most rounds that contain a "bonus" usually are, but this is an exception. A round with a bonus (you'll see whether or not it includes a bonus at the top of the round announcement, along with length, format, etc.) means a couple of things. It's similar to extra credit for an assignment in a way. If you can meet the criteria fully and can go beyond expectations, your average score for that round will get a .5 boost. If you meet some of the criteria for the bonus, you will receive a .25 boost. If you do the bonus and don't meet the criteria at all, you get a .125 bonus for at least trying. These may seem like not big boosts, but with five judges scoring, scores tend to get closer and closer together, so a .5 boost could move you like 10 places up. Not a lot of rounds have bonuses, but if they do its in your benefit to at least try.
But, like I said, it's a preliminary round so you won't get scored, so that bonus round lecture was kind of unneeded but now you know. You're welcome
The bonus is in this round is just to show judges your here to stay, and make an impression. But you'll see that when I explain the challenge. Let's get on to it!
REQUIREMENTS
1. Give your concept a title. I made this one the first requirement because it needs the most emphasis. Your title and your concept are not necessarily the same. They can be ("Asylum" or "Hotel" for example) but that should be rather uncommon with some of the concepts I'm looking at. Think: what if Coven was just like AHS: Witches or something. That's his concept right? But it sounds dull. "Coven" is much more theatric, while still getting the theme across. That's what you're trying to do with your title
2. Give your concept a setting. This is American Horror Story so it should be set somewhere in America for at least some of your season. But where in America? Los Angeles with the Hotel Cortez and the Murder House? Jupiter, Florida? Wherever Briarcliff was? You choose.
3. Give me your cast list. You must include 3 AHS Regulars (anyone in 2 or more seasons). The rest is up to you!
BONUS: Make a news article about the announcement, production, casting or release of your season. (See examples above)
Good Luck!
