I think they're more concerned with selling the album as a whole as opposed to a single. It makes sense that they would use that song with the line 'Hello, it's me' for the advertisement that introduces us to Adele's new album for obvious reasons; therein lies the conundrum - if that isn't the lead single, then when will we hear the solidified first single?
I just can't think of any shows in the US that are an "event" like X Factor is in the UK, though. Years ago it was American Idol. Closest thing now is like...Shondaland on ABC on Thursdays or football. Neither really make sense for this. Maybe they'll only air in the UK.

I hope not. No one deserves to go through their life having a horrible relationship with either of their parents. I really hope that they reconciled and that she has forgiven him for good and he has changed for good. They both deserve it.
