That's where you can see how things are different in the US and in Europe. It's just different so yes "white" here are not going to understand some things that happen in the US and vise versa.

Europe did really **** up though and things like that shouldn't happen anymore but some tend to forget that Slavery existed in Africa before the "white devils" came, it was less brutal but it existed.

The whole racism thing is so complicated that I don't know what to think anymore tbh i'm afraid it will never stop.

It was much different. It was a form of punishment.
You'd only do it for a temporary amount of time to pay off for what you did, for starters.
It wasn't near as brutal too (as you said).
You wasn't separated from your friends and family.
Slavery is disgusting as a whole and in humane but I mean the Atlantic slave trade was truly something else
