I am really sorry, but people like you are the reason why the world can't move forward when it comes to solving racism. You need to get educated about the issue and understand that the key term here that you don't grasp is, as someone said earlier, systematic oppresion. White people have never been and never will be oppresed because they are on top of the hierarchy so that is why reverse racism isn't a thing. I get that you feel that SWJs can't fight with hate, but you as a privileged person have to know that POC are really angry and exhausted from everything they have to experience every day and when they call some white kid a mayo, white people outrage because how dare they be so rude toward a white person when all they preach is equality and where is equality in such behaviour? I think that is your argument summed up. You just can't understand their everyday struggle and the obstacles they face in the real world and not on the internet where nothing seriously can happen to you, e.g. they don't get the job because the employer thinks his customers would be put off by their dreads. POCs experience stuff like that and you don't so please just be aware of that entitlment. There is nothing negative that will happen to you if someone black calls you a mayo, only then would white people call that black person a thug and further perpetuate the angry and aggressive black man stereotype. I hope you can understand all of this and I don't want to attack you because it's extremely difficult to acknowledge your white privilege and when you do that can make you uncomfortable so you could get offended at the mayo thing because first time in your life you are discriminated for your race and feel threatened when in reality POCs feel like that every day and you don't. It's an extremely complicated matter so the real SWJs have to educate people on it and not attack them.

Actually people like you are why there's no progress and moving forward. If you're striving for equality amazing, we're all on board. If your goal is like you pointed
here to simply ignore when being attacked then you my friend are the problem. You're ignoring the fact that we don't live in an ideal society. Not everyone shares the collective hive-mind and people are individuals. Something that might not offend you will offend someone else. Who are you to tell them how to feel when insulted. I'm sorry but what you're asking has nothing to do with equality but with 'payback' and there's no need to sugarcoat it. I agree with your points on oppression and the fact black people are still discriminated against in the US and killed mercilessly in cold blood and something needs to be done about it. As soon as possible because this will not end well. And anger and protests regarding that are a good thing, a positive thing. However, spewing insults at people who want to help and who truly want equality while expecting them to just sit there and listen quietly is not a wise move and will have negative effects. Like someone else said and put it in ATRL's terms; you can compliment your own fave without shading someone else's.
